ABOUT JOY MATHEWS
Joy started baking at the age of 16. Herfirst bake sale was in partnership with her church to help keep children off the streets during summer vacation. The proceeds purchased art supplies and food for the children.
Although reading was challenging for her throughout her schooling, she spent hours effortlessly reading through recipe books and later earned certifications in commercial baking and cake decorating. On weekends she would teach her nieces how to make dinner rolls when they weren’t too distracted with Saturday morning cartoons.
Joy receives great pleasure from people enjoying her breads and cakes. In the near future, she hopes to share her passion by teaching others to bake. Her clients include individuals, churches, and restaurants for all occasions. Joy can also bake your heirloom recipes.
